I am performing at this event on 24th April: It is a Palestinian / Jewish story-telling event. There will also be some music, which I am involved with as a violinist and guitar player: Hebrew, Arabic, and Ladino (medieval Spanish) songs. I hope you can come.

David.

The healing words project began as a response to
the violent events in Lebanon in 2006:
Under tents in a pine forest, Story was used as a medium
to dissolve borders and conflict between Arabs and Jews,
to foster listening, and to create friendships.
Over 2000 people came together to create new stories of hope, healing and peace.

Healing words are now needed more than ever:
In May 2009 the project will extend, taking 12 storytellers to work in Israeli and Palestinian towns and villages; giving performances, facilitating dialogue and listening circles with groups of Arabs and Israelis; bringing together children, young people and adults of different religions and backgrounds.

On 24th April, we invite you to be part of an extraordinary evening of friendship, humour, empathy- and good stories- told by a company of exceptional artists, brought together especially for this event.

£12 /£9 concs

As a joint fundraising event, the evening is produced by members of BKY, a liberal jewish community, to support the work of both Healing Words and BKY

Tuesday 17th February

I am helping organise what should be a lovely concert by Palestinian musicians on that Tuesday - I worried about not being able to come to that Arabic class, and then I wondered... Would you like to come to the concert? This is it:
